A representative in Japan has to apply for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) at a regional immigration office in Japan. Once the application for the COE is approved, the immigration authority issues a COE to the representative, who then posts it to the foreigner in his/her home country. After the foreigner receives the COE, they can then proceed to apply for a work or long-term visa with the required documents at the Japan Embassy. |
